team.i Students As A Part Of TCS 2022 World Event
The 14th edition of the World 10K Bengaluru 2022 race kicked off from the iconic Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Karnataka from the 8th of May to the 16th of May this year. After a two year long hiatus since the onset of Covid, the turnover was remarkable to say the least.
To be a part of such a spectacular event is at the heart of every aspiring event student’s professional growth and development and so we at team.i were proud to have five of our students, Surabhi, Vaibhav, Pavan, Anupam and Sneha be a part of the organizing committee.
The TCS World 10K event this year was for the first time ever, conducted in two formats, an on-ground and a virtual, app-based run. With over 15,000 people registering for the on-ground event, another 1,500 were expected to be a part of the virtual run as part of the event.
Beyond being a globally acclaimed sporting event that puts Bengaluru on the international racing calendar, the TCS World 10K Bengaluru is also recognized for the phenomenal impact it creates in terms of social change as the single largest sporting charity platform in South India.
As part of their learning experience, our students were given the opportunity to not only first-hand witness the execution of such a phenomenal event in the making but also get involved in the overall process.
An opportunity of a lifetime, for them, to be able to practice their knowledge and skill set, understand the importance of growing their professional network and working on their interpersonal skills proved to be just as important as the in-class training that they receive.
At team.i – The Entertainment and Media Institute, as part of the Certificate Program in Event Management, Sport Management is one of the topics that is covered in great detail.
A well structured curriculum that includes the latest developments in sports management and innovation, we aim to equip students with the right resources to be ready to take on challenging roles and responsibilities that span the globe as of today.
With the opportunities being limitless, it is up to us now to make the most of what the industry has to offer and it all starts with getting the right education.
team.i is where it starts for most of them and as our students continue to pave their way into the industry, it is by being a part of events such as the TCS World Event that we hope to encourage them to persevere in their dreams of becoming the successful event professionals that they set out to be.
