In the fast-paced world of event management, hands-on experience and industry connections can make all the difference. At Team.i, we understand the importance of real-world opportunities for our students. That’s why we were thrilled to see our event management students immerse themselves in the SIWPC event in Hyderabad on June 14th and 15th.

The Event: SIWPC (South India Wedding Planners’ Conference) is a prestigious event in the wedding and event management industry. It brings together top professionals, experts, and influencers to discuss trends, share insights, and network with peers. The conference aims to inspire, educate, and connect professionals in the wedding and event management space.

SIWPC 2024 was held on 14th and 15th June in Hyderabad, and it was a landmark event in the industry. With over 43 top industry experts in attendance, including renowned wedding planners, event managers, designers, and vendors, the conference offered a unique platform for our students to learn from the best in the business.

Our students had the opportunity to attend keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops conducted by these industry experts. They gained insights into the latest trends and technologies in event management, learned about innovative approaches to event planning and execution, and got a firsthand look at the inner workings of the industry.

One of the highlights of the event was the networking opportunities it provided. Our students were able to interact with the speakers and other professionals, exchanging ideas and building connections that will be invaluable as they start their careers in event management.

The conference also featured an expo where leading vendors showcased their products and services. Our students had the chance to explore the latest event technologies, décor trends, and catering options, giving them a comprehensive understanding of the event management ecosystem.

As part of the conference, there were also networking dinners and social events where our students were able to further connect with industry professionals in a more relaxed setting. These interactions not only helped our students expand their professional network but also gave them a glimpse into the camaraderie and community spirit that defines the event management industry.

Overall, SIWPC 2024 was a transformative experience for our students. It not only provided them with valuable knowledge and skills but also inspired them to aim higher and dream bigger in their careers. We are proud to have been a part of this event and to have provided our students with such a unique and enriching opportunity.

Job Role of students working at SIWPC Global Hyderabad:

1) Ashish – 
Pre Event – Made calls to partners of the event to communicate regarding branding of their respective companies. Creating and handling database using MS Excel of all partners communication.

Event days – Assisted at backstage with sorting awards and certificates for R&R and was a part of hospitality team on the 2 event days.

2) Nidhi –
Pre Event – Was working in the RSVP team, guest logistics- call and ask their arriving and departure details and enter in the excel sheet accordingly 

Event Days – Was with the hospitality manager and was helping him and updating about check-ins at the hotel.

 3) Khushi –
Pre Event – Assisted the floral decor showcase teams in setting up their displays, assisted registration team in sorting the accreditation cards in alphabetical order.

Event days – Assisted at backstage with sorting awards and certificates for R&R and was a part of hospitality team on the 2 event days.

 4) Kishor –
Pre Event – Oversaw production during the setup of stage including stage, light, sound and LEDS.

Event days – Provided hospitality assistance for a partner to the event, assisted him with the functioning of the event.

 5) Bharath –
Pre Event – Assisted the production manager with markings for seating at the venue. Oversaw production at the entrance setup.

Event days – Assisted in venue hospitality.

6) Nikhith –
Pre event and also on event days i was in production team. I was assigned coordination with the genset vendors. I was looking after diesel for the gensets and also noted on and off timing of genset.

 7) Shanmukesh –
Pre Event – Segregation of accreditation cards of delegates. Floral Extravaganza flowers receiving, storage, chair setup at floral Extravaganza tables 

Event Days – Assisted at backstage and was part of the hospitality team on the 2 event days, Return gifts management.

 8) Mansi –
Pre Event – Helped with the content of welcome letter for guests ensuring it was informative and engaging. Helped with the registration and accreditation process.

Event days – Monitored the event hall during the proceedings, ensuring everything ran smoothly and addressing any issues that arose.
