Destination Wedding Session By Mr.Mahendra Gangadharan

As part of the Event Management Insider Series conducted at team.i, we were thrilled to be in the presence of none other than Mr. Mahendra Gangadharan from Neferrtiti Destination Weddings. Speaking on the topic ‘All About Destination Weddings’ between the 5th and 7th of June, 2023.

From sharing his experience of being a pioneer in one of the biggest industries in the country today to connecting with our students and helping them get a 360 degree view of the Indian wedding industry, Mr, Mahendra’s session was definitely one of the most insightful and engaging sessions as part of this series.

Speaking primarily from a destination wedding standpoint, some of the areas covered as part of the session included that as of September 2021, the Indian wedding industry was estimated to be worth around $50 billion. However, please note that this figure is subject to change as the wedding industry evolves and grows over time. 

The Indian wedding industry is known for its grandeur, elaborate celebrations, and the importance placed on traditions and customs. It encompasses various sectors, including wedding planning services, venue rentals, catering, photography, fashion, jewelry, and more. The industry continues to thrive due to the cultural significance of weddings in Indian society and the desire for extravagant celebrations.

An overall, extremely beneficial session, our students at team.i benefited immensely from all the knowledge sharing that took place during the course of the 3 days.
